The new TL-2 tally light is a universal design that replaces both the TL-1 and the TL-XD and will work with either the TLC-6 or TLC-8d tally controllers or it can be directly connected to the tally jacks on the TriCaster 300, Studio and Broadcast.
The TL-2 connected (via the 1/8″ jack) to a TriCaster Studio or Broadcast supports a red ‘Program’ indicator for the camera operator and a ultra-brite tally for the on-camera talent.
When connected to the 1/8″ tally jack on the TriCaster 300 you also get a green ‘preview’ LED in addition to the ‘program’ tally.
Used with the TLC-6 controller and any standard def TriCaster you get the Red ‘program’, green ‘preview’ and a yellow ‘effects’ tally in addition to the talent tally.
Used with a TLC-8d controller and a TriCaster 850 or 450 the TL-2 supports the ‘program’ and ‘talent’ tallys.
The TL-2 mounts in any standard accessory shoe with the included mount.

Our new TLC-8d controller is an adapter box the connects to the TriCaster TCXD850′s 15 pin tally port and interfaces to either model of our tally lights.
The ’850′s tally port supports a ‘program’ tally for the source selected on the program bus of the switcher. The TLC-8d translates this signal to illuminate the red camera operator tally and the ‘talent’ tally on the TL-2 light. The talent tallys can be globally disabled via a jumper in the TLC-8d.
For CCU users the TLC-8d has wet contact closure outputs (5v @20mA) so it can be interfaced with some CCUs tally ports.
What sets the TLC-8d apart from a simple adapter cable is the intercom pass through so you can run both tally and intercom on a single Cat5 cable run. Connect your intercom base station into the xlr on the TLC-8 then connect your beltpacks to the multi-purpose port on the tally lights.
The TLC-8d is also upgradeable to full microprocessor functionality. In the event NewTek releases a software developers kit for the ’850 we can upgrade your controller and provide additional features like preview/effects tally and GPI I/O.
TLC-8d ships with a 6 foot 15 pin tally cable and a 6 foot USB cable (for power).

The Tally Light Controller TLC-6 adds a sophisticated tally system to your Standard Def TriCaster or VT. Compatible with all standard def TriCaster models with 2.0 or higher software and VT[4] and above. The TLC – 6 in conjunction with our TL-2 (or TL-1, TL-XD) tally lights adds status and ‘talent’ tally lights to any camera.
Each of the six output channels gives you four LED outputs – Program (Live), Preview and Effects bus indicators plus an output for a separately controlled tally for the on camera ‘talent’. The Talent tally can be software selected to illuminate when the camera is on the program bus, the preview bus, the effects bus or any combination.
In addition to the LED outputs each channel also includes two contact closure outputs that can be connected to most camera CCUs for program and preview tally.
If you’re not using CCUs (which usually provide intercom connections) you can configure the TLC-6 to pass through intercom signals over the tally cable. The TLC-6 has an XLR connector to connect directly into your intercom system.
The controller also has two GPI outputs. The first provides a contact closure whenever the configured source is selected on the program (Live) bus. The second does the same for the Effects bus. You can use these outputs to trigger any GPI compatible outboard equipment.
The TLC-6 uses inexpensive RJ-45 (Ethernet type) cables to make it easy to build custom length cables with no solder skills required.

The TL-XD tally light is compatible with the tally outputs on the TriCaster TCXD300 and provides both red program and green preview indicators for the camera operator and an ultra bright LED tally for the on-camera talent.
The TL-XD connects to your TCXD300 via a 3.5mm (1/8″) phone jack.
The TL-XD light is also recommended for use with the TLC-6 and TLC-8 tally light controller (for SD TriCasters & VT) and supports all the TLC-6 and TLC-8′s features when connect to it via the RJ45 jack.

The Tally Light One in conjunction with our Tally Light Controller TLC–6 provides three status LEDs for the camera operator that indicate whether the camera is active on the Program. Preview or Effects bus as well as a bright tally indicator for the on-camera talent.
The TL-1 now includes the accessory shoe mount at no additional charge.
The Tally Light One is also compatible* with the tally outputs on the front of the TriCasterTM Studio and Broadcast and our original Tally Light Controllers TLC-1, TLC-2 and TLC-3.
*Only the Tally Light One’s Program and Talent LEDs illuminate.
